Anna T. is Loving the Results of our Six-Part Chemical Peel Series!

We are so excited to share the amazing process our Smoothe client Anna T. has made in our Six-Part Chemical Peel Series! Anna has allowed us to document her experience before, during, and after each appointment to share with all of you, and the results are fantastic. (Check out our very first update with Anna here!)

For those new to Anna’s journey, the first appointment in our chemical peel series involves sitting down with your Smoothe esthetician to discuss your issues and expectations and ultimately decide on a treatment plan that works best for you. Before starting the treatment, you’ll receive a Smoothe “Clinical” Facial that includes a double cleanse, enzyme, skin scrubber, tone, and hydrate/protect. You will also be provided with a helpful homecare kit at this time.

Homecare is required for one week prior to your first peel. The rest of your appointments will occur every seven-to-10 days unless otherwise noted by your esthetician. The first appointment takes about an hour, but the rest will only last about 30 minutes with minimal-to-no downtime.

During the second appointment of our six-part chemical peel series, clients receive an in-office treatment, starting with a peel the esthetician deems right for each unique client’s skin type. Take a look at her journey below.

Skincare for Acne-Prone Skin in Raleigh at Smoothe LLC

“When North Carolina went into lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, one of my main concerns was highly unusual.

My husband and I don’t have kids, and we both have stable jobs that we’re able to do from the comfort and safety of our home. The same can be said for our family members, and thankfully none of us have gotten sick (yet). Our primary day-to-day concerns include simply not going crazy due to social isolation and finding ways to support our community members who might not be as fortunate or privileged. We have so much for which to be grateful, and 2020 has been a reminder of that.

Since our basic needs were met, one of my main concerns was, “s#*!, Smoothe is closed and my raging hormonal acne is about to come back with a vengeance.” Have you seen Game of Thrones? If so, then in other words, I thought to myself, “winter is coming.” I know, small peanuts compared to the rest of the world. However, my raging hormonal acne was so bad at one point that it came hand-in-hand with shame, anger, anxiety, depression, and an obsession with avoiding gluten, dairy, sugar, alcohol, red meat, and basically life. It was so bad that I started most days off with a cry in the mirror. 2020 has been enough of a mental health challenge as it is, and I feared the return of my dark (more like red, inflamed, painful, and persistent) forces. I braced for impact…

And impact never showed up! During the time Smoothe was closed, I woke up every morning and headed straight to the mirror to see if the pores on my jawline and neck were filling up like little volcanoes. Let’s be real, of course, they did a little. It was the normal kind of congestion though, not the “I’m fighting off an internal beast” kind of congestion. Lindsey and Erin’s acne magic had worked so well, then even after TWO MONTHS of no facials, peels, and extractions, my skin still looked beautiful and was holding up!

That long few months proved to me that not only did Smoothe fight off my raging hormonal acne (with the help of my SkinSkript home care), they CURED it (at least for now). My skin is once again resilient, my breakouts are once again few and far between, and my pores are once again the size they should be.

But Smoothe? Please don’t ever close again, because I don’t ever plan to fight off my “winter” without you.”
