Smoothe's Policies

Before you book an appointment at Smoothe & Co., please review our policies. Upon booking an appointment, you will be emailed a confirmation with the policy link included. Clients who do not want to book online, sign policies, or place a credit card on file will not be able to book an appointment with us.

We ONLY do online booking. It is a secure site, and we do not take cards over the phone. We thank you for understanding.

ONLINE BOOKING

To secure your appointment at Smoothe and Co., we require a credit card to be placed on file at your booking request.

This policy offers clients transparent pricing and no hassle with checking out while eliminating the financial impact caused by missed appointments and late cancellations. Per our policy, your card on file will be charged 100% of the scheduled treatment fee if you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment. If your card on file is removed, your appointment will be canceled; rebooking privileges will be suspended until a new card is placed on file.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The time you schedule is reserved exclusively for you. When appointments are missed or canceled with insufficient notice, we cannot fill the vacancy, which can have a substantial financial impact on the Business.

Should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment with Smoothe & Co., we request 24-hour(s) notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will result in a charge equal to 100% of the scheduled service.

If you cannot commit to appointments in advance, we recommend completing the waitlist request form on the scheduling page. Then, should an opening in our schedule occur, you will receive a text message notification and can reserve that time for yourself.

LATE ARRIVALS

Smoothe and Co. do not extend service times or issue refunds for late arrivals. Arriving more than 5 minutes late for your treatment will result in its cancellation and a fee equal to 100% of the scheduled treatment price.

SICKNESS

Permitting access to Smoothe and Co. when clients are experiencing infectious or contagious illness or related symptoms violates state rules and regulations for licensed establishments. State Safety and Sanitation Regulations prohibit licensed establishments from allowing clients exposed to or showing signs of an infectious or contagious disease to enter premises as a practice of Universal Precautions to reduce the spread of contagious diseases.

Please cancel your appointment as soon as you become aware that you are experiencing symptoms or if you have been exposed to anyone experiencing infectious or contagious conditions. The cancellation fee may be waived, at the discretion of the Business, within the 24-hour notice period. Please be aware that repeat cancellations utilizing the Sickness Policy may require a medical release from your physician before rescheduling is permitted.

MINORS & GUESTS

Smoothe and Co. provide clients with a calm, relaxing atmosphere. However, it is not a safe or suitable environment for children. Clients must make childcare arrangements before visiting, as children and additional guests not scheduled to receive treatment will not be permitted in the treatment areas. Clients who arrive with children will be required to reschedule, and you will be subject to the cancellation appointment fee, as this policy has no exceptions.

CELL PHONE POLICY

At Smoothe and Co., we require our clients’ full attention in the treatment areas to assure your safety, ensure a favorable outcome, support employee productivity, and maintain a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere for all clients. Therefore, mobile devices must be silenced and stored.

We understand situations may arise requiring your phone to be on your person during treatment. Please note that any exceptions to this policy will be made on a case-by-case decision at the discretion of the licensed professional.

RETAIL REFUND & EXCHANGE POLICY

Our pleasure is to provide you with a store credit within three days of a retail purchase if the original receipt accompanies the product and remains sealed, unopened, and unused. Open items are considered contaminated and ineligible for returns or exchanges.

Products that have been opened may be returned for a store credit should you have an adverse reaction. However, this is contingent upon a further consultation to review product usage and home care regimen.

SERVICE SALES POLICY

To ensure the most favorable outcome, we perform thorough consultations that require your participation and honest feedback. All service sales and deposits are final.

RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

The licensed professionals at Smoothe and Co. reserve the right to refuse service at their discretion and dismiss disruptive or abusive clients when necessary.

SCOPE OF PRACTICE

In North Carolina, state law prohibits salon and spa professionals from diagnosing or treating clients with contraindicated medical conditions. Should your licensed professional determine you are ineligible for service, we will refer you to your primary care physician. When your situation has been resolved, or you have a medical release clearing you for service, you are more than welcome to reschedule your appointment.

Gift Cards are redeemable at Smoothe and Co. for goods and services not exceeding the remaining credit balance on the card. Treat your gift card as cash; it will not be replaced if lost. In addition, the balance will not expire and may not be transferred or redeemed for cash value. Plastic gift cards are the issuer’s property.

Promotional Value: Should you receive a discount resulting in promotional credits, you must redeem the promotional value within 30 days of receipt. This value would be any additional credit above the cash-paid value for your gift card.
