Lindsey to Speak at 2019 Hope for the Holidays Benefitting SouthLight
Smoothe’s own Lindsey Westendorf is a guest speaker at this year’s 2019 Hope for the Holidays event on December 14, 2019, at Raleigh Country Club. We are so excited for Lindsey to speak and to be part of such a great event. Smoothe will also be donating a prize to the silent auction that you do not want to miss! 2019 Hope for the Holidays
Dress up. Have fun. Do good. Hope for the Holidays was started by a group of friends who host a black-tie event every December to raise money for the Hope for the Holidays Hope Fund. Each year, they choose a local non-profit as a beneficiary of their Hope Fund. The money for this year’s event is going to SouthLight Healthcare, a charity that Lindsey is very passionate about.
SouthLight Healthcare
Founded in 1970, SouthLight is a premier provider of substance use treatment and mental health services for the Triangle area. As part of their commitment to providing holistic healthcare solutions for our clients, SouthLight offers integrated behavioral health treatment and medical services in addition to wraparound services and linkages to community support. They believe that delivering integrated behavioral and medical care promotes optimal wellness and increases the likelihood of sustained recovery.
Southlight will use the funds raised to purchase bus passes and rideshare services for clients to attend medical and behavioral health appointments, to pay for rent in recovery homes, to assist with necessary medications, and to bridge other gaps that are not met with their funding partners or community service organizations. Every dollar raised from the Hope Fund goes directly to support at SouthLight client in recovery.
Event Details
